Hey my lovelies! Hope you're doing well. I'm really excited to bring you this new collection by Julie from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer! It's so fun and super cute! If you are a classic rock lover, then this collection is definitely for you! As a kid, Julie's dad introduced her to classic rock, and she's been a fan ever since! Each polish in the Dad's Mixtape collection was created with a classic rock song in mind.
Side A of this two part collection is made up of four polishes; a jelly, a creme, and two with crelly like finishes. Let's get into some swatches!
Best Selling Show
First up is Best Selling Show, a bright coral polish with blue shimmer and blue microflakies. This color is just stunning. I am a huge lover of bright vibrant colors, and this is right up my alley. The shimmer is subtle, but more apparent in person. Formula is fantastic, smooth and easy to work with. Swatches show two coat plus Love, Angeline Topped With Love glossy top coat. This polish will be available in full size ($8.50) and mini ($5.00).
A Love Such as This
Next up is A Love Such As This, a strawberry hot pink polish with copper shimmer. I'm sure it goes without saying that this is my favorite out of this group. This is me in a polish! The color and shimmer are just gorgeous in person, these photos do it no justice. Formula is fantastic, smooth and really easy to work with. Swatches show two coat plus TWL glossy top coat. This polish will be available in full size ($8.50) and mini ($5.00).
Thrill Me to the Marrow
Next up is Thrill Me to the Marrow, a gorgeous lavender leaning taupe creme. I am definitely not a neutral toned girl, but this hint of lavender just seals the deal. It's a subtle but gorgeous lean. The formula was really great, buttery and smooth. Swatches show three coats plus TWL top coat. This polish will be available in full size ($8.50) and mini ($5.00).
Deep Blue Dream
Last, but certainly not least, is Deep Blue Dream, a gorgeous sapphire blue jelly with green shimmer, silver ultra-holo glitter, and silver holo flakes. The sparkle is real with this beauty! I seriously don't think you could pack anymore holo goodness into this baby. Formula was awesome, really easy to work with and built up great. Swatches show two coats plus TWL glossy top coat. This polish will be available in full size ($12.00) and mini ($6.00).
This collection is so fun and creative. Julie did an amazing job with all of the colors. The formula on all of them was awesome. Some surprised me in being more opaque than I expected, which is a huge plus. Overall, a great collection and refreshing to see amidst a sea of warm neutral colors. This collection will be available for preorder in BEGL shop from September 28th at 3:30pm EST until October 1st at 11:59pm EST. The collection will be available as a set for $37.50 for full sized and $21 for minis.
